To day I try to write a cd via brasero burning application. But some bugs are shown in the screen.

Toc2cue and cdrdao are missing and ask install manually. Cdrdao is found in synaptic package manager and other toc2cue is not found in anywhere.

So I install K3B, found in ubuntu software centre.

Now go to Applications->Sound & video->K3B

The K3B is open source and free to use look like a commercial burning application.

Now copy from cd and create image then wirte to another cd is very easy and fast

First go to

Select service->Tomboy web
server->https://one.ubuntu.com and press connect to server.Tik the 'automotically sync in background every' and set the time for 10 minutes. This feature is used for the tom boy notes automatically updated to ubuntu one server.

If you have a ubuntu one account, give the username and password, otherwise please create the account.

If server connected

Ubuntu How to install LBPxxxx canon printers

Here I explain how to install the Canon LBPxxxx printers in ubuntu

First, download the drivers from here and extract the file.

Then double click on the files and install or type the following command in terminal one by one.

1.sudo dpkg -i cndrvcups-common_2.00-2_i386.deb

2.sudo dpkg -i cndrvcups-capt_2.00-2_i386.deb

Now restart the cups type following commands in terminal

3.sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart

4.sudo /usr/sbin/ccpdadmin -p LBP2900 -o /dev/usb/lp0

Type the following the screen will display printer models

5.ls /usr/share/cups/model/ |grep CNCUPS

here select the printer model for installation

6. /usr/sbin/lpadmin -p LBP2900 -m CNCUPSLBP2900CAPTK.ppd -v ccp:/var/ccpd/fifo0 -E

Now the printer is installed

Then restart ccpd type the following command in terminal

7.sudo /etc/init.d/ccpd start

Set the ccpd at starting the computer type the following

8.sudo update-rc.d ccpd defaults 20

Now the printer works fine in my office .

1.Please confirm the following file if thunderbird already installed.

sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/thunderbird.desktop

2.In terminal open the empty text file under name 'thunderbird'

sudo gedit /usr/share/indicators/messages/applications/thunderbird

and add the following line in the abovesaid file and save.

/usr/share/applications/thunderbird.desktop

Now right click on mail indicator in top panel the 'Mozilla Thunderbird Mail/News' menu appeared.
